Show St. Louis

High school students from across the St. Louis Metropolitan area work alongside one another to create an original evening of musical theater only possible in St. Louis. Supported by professionals and paid for their time, students are exposed to careers related to creating, marketing, and presenting live performance.

Spring Semester 2027: Show production, show performance

Theme: St. Louis, Meet Me.

The magic will happen in weekly 4-hour sessions on Saturdays or Sundays throughout the school year. Participants will learn about, explore, and discuss the different elements that go into a musical with a focus on how different craft areas come together to tell a shared story. Sessions will include visits from professional theater makers, improvisation, planning, and using clips from musicals and prompts to inspire how you might want to tell your own St. Louis story.

While some participants may end up performing, performance is not required to participate. ‍ ‍
